Flood Relief Effort Topping $50,000

7/20/17 – 5:02 A.M.

A local flood relief effort is off to a strong start. The United Way of Hancock County says local residents and businesses have already donated more than $50,000 to the effort. President John Urbanski says Marathon Petroleum donated $25,000, Campbell Soup donated $10,000, and TH Plastics chipped in $5,000.

The United Way seeded the fund with $10,000 to get the ball rolling. You can donate to the flood relief fund at any First Federal Bank location in northwest Ohio. You can also send checks to the United Way of Hancock County, 245 Stanford Parkway in Findlay. You’ll want to write “flood relief in the comment section.”

All the of the money in the account will go toward helping those in the community affected by the flood.
