“Eyes Of Freedom” Tribute On Display At Ohio Statehouse
(ONN) – A memorial paying tribute to a central Ohio-based Marine reserve company that lost 23 Marines in Iraq in 2005 once again can be viewed at the Ohio Statehouse.
The display of “The Eyes of Freedom ” honoring the members of the Columbus-based Lima Company runs through Friday in the statehouse rotunda.
The exhibit, first displayed at the statehouse in 2008, has been viewed at hundreds of events nationwide.
15 of the 23 Marines killed were from Ohio.
The memorial includes paintings, names, statistics and the boots of those killed.
“The Eyes of Freedom” came to Findlay in September and we spoke with the organizers.
