Arlington Considers Parking Restrictions On Some Streets

Arlington officials are considering parking restrictions on some roads in the village. The Courier reports council gave first reading to ban parking on the south sides of Hickory Lane and Apple Grove. The ban also includes the east side of Willow Drive, the southwest side of Mountain Ash, and the west side of Apple Blossom Lane.

Officials say the restrictions would allow better traffic flow on the streets. However, former Mayor Ed Solt said residents need off-street parking for holidays and family gatherings.

The ordinance needs two more readings before getting a final vote.
